If you are HIV-positive, you can depend on Ryan’s health care team for quality care. Ryan’s HIV Clinical Care Program provides high quality culturally and linguistically competent, primary care for people living with HIV, and is dedicated to making the most up-to-date treatment options available to its patients.

Through training and experience, Ryan Center Adult Medicine practitioners become “HIV specialists”.  Services are delivered by bilingual and multicultural practitioners throughout all departments of the Center, rather than in a separate HIV unit.  These services are further integrated in the Center’s mental health, harm reduction, case management, and support services. In addition, Ryan provides a comprehensive range of accessible specialty care services to meet your unique health care needs. Your individual Ryan practitioner will coordinate the services of specialists, if and when you need them.

Ryan offers confidential HIV counseling and testing.  HIV testing can be administered through a blood test or an oral testing method, which is painless and returns results more quickly.  While taking the HIV antibody test to find your HIV serostatus is taking control of your life.  If you test positive, Ryan can assist you in taking steps to ensure a healthy life through appropriate treatments and support services.  Taking medication everyday on schedule can be difficult, at Ryan, Treatment Education and Adherence Counseling is offered by a professional nurse educator who will  provide you with information and support about antiretroviral treatment regimens in consultation with your medical practitioner.

Ryan believes that it is important to offer the most appropriate combination of traditional and complementary therapies needed to restore the whole mind, body, and spirit.  That’s why at Ryan, in addition to your medical treatment plan, you can receive acupuncture treatment and massage therapy.

The Ryan Center offers a safe and secure environment so you can confide in the health care professionals who are here to serve you.  The HIV Clinical Care Coordinator meets with every new patient to answer questions about HIV and treatment, and to arrange an initial appointment with a primary care practitioner.
