People’s feelings and emotions are as important to their well being as the physical state of their bodies. Because Ryan is concerned with the total person, we have a Mental Health Department, which serves children, teens and adults, and provides confidential counseling, psychiatric and support services, and treatment for mental disorders such as depression. You may make a single appointment for help in dealing with a personal or family crisis, or you can go regularly if you need on-going services.

The Mental Health Department is located at 160 West 100th Street on the second floor, and its staff, which includes psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, social workers, and other mental health counselors, provide the following services:

• Individual therapy

• Family therapy

• Group therapy

• Relationship therapy

• Grief therapy

• Domestic violence counseling/safety planning

• Crisis intervention

• Psychiatric evaluation

• Psychopharmacology

• Case management

• Information/referral
